Charter Members

On Saturday, March 3 the Charter Members of the Library/Museum Society met to dedicate the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame at the Grand Lodge in Alexandria. The Louisiana Political Hall of Fame, which features 20 of the 22 Louisiana Governors who have been Masons in our great state, was brought to being by the hard work of Brother Jimmy Steen. The Charter Membership plaque was unveiled and those members honored. J.F. “Jeff” Webb, P.G.M. served as M.C. with Honorable Brother J. Henson Moore of Trinity Union Lodge No.372 and M:W: Frank N. duTreil, Jr., Grand Master, addressing those present. Brothers Mickey Durand, G.S.W., and Philip Thibodeaux, P.M., were recognized for their willingness to do the heavy lifting and installing the display cabinets so generously donated by the Walmart of Many, LA. The Library/Museum has made great strides in the last year and the hard work and dedication of those working on the project is evident. The beautiful exhibit cases handmade and donated by Brother Herrin Ducote, P.M., were admired and the brethren were able to view many fragile items that are not ordinarily on display in the facility. It was great to have so many members of the fraternity and its appendant bodies gathered at the repository.
